A note to you all..but may be more for me..
The SUPERS
Oh Glossier....just when you think they can't get any better they get "S U P E R b!" haha...get it... ;)
I am still in the beginning stages of trying all these Super Serums out, but so far I love them. My favorite is Super Pure...for those bumps that like to pop up and make your day THAT much better....NOT. There are three different choices: Super Pure, Glow and Bounce! I mean the names a lone are fun. Info about each and what they do are below. (All info provided by Glossier Team*)
- Super Pure: Niacinamide soothes redness and Zinc helps calm blemishes--especially useful during that time just before your period. Junk food andstress are other skin--disrutting trippers that Super Pure helps counteract. The light, water-gel formula quickly absorbs into skin. It helps let go of irritation and flushes out impurities, including excess sebum that builds up inside pores.
- Super Bounce: Hyaluronic Acid plumps skin up with moisture and Vitamin B5 brings elasticity back to tight skin for supple softness--the "bounce" you want. Good for skin that's depleted from hangovers, long layovers, blasting A/C, or high high heat. The smooth, milky texture soaks into skin without any stickiness or residue for instantly softer skin.
- Super Glow: Vitamin C brightens and Magnesium energizes for days when you didn't get enough sleep or your skin looks sallow. Like when you're browsing Instagram after dinner and suddenly it's 4am. It evens skin to and creates a light-reflective complexion. The water-like texture immediately absorbs into skin without a trace.

Stone Row
Hey guys! So excited to share my collaboration with Volcom x Refinery29. Volcom recently has come out with an awesome new women's line called Stone Row. The pieces are edgy/classic and can literally go with everything. My favorite piece has to be the leather jacket. It is slim, light and SO easy to throw on over a dress or t-shirt. Also I love how these pieces could transition from day to night and from summer to fall!
Hope you enjoy, also links are provided below...so yea...start shopping;)

Festival Part II
The film festival just wrapped up, and I thought the best send off would be my mini chat with Zosia Mamet. I must start off by saying, this 3 minute or so interview was all it took to feel like I have known Zosia for years.
Side/middle note: As an avid watcher of GIRLS, I was pretty stoked to meet the girl who plays such a quick-wit, colorful and fast-talking character. If any of you know me personally, you may know I know Gilmore Girls backwards and forwards. Probably the ONLY test I could pass with flying colors! Zosia's character is a whole different type of Lorelai, but one that completely resinates with me.
At the end of last year I was asked to photograph the opening of Rebecca Minkoff's new and only store in NYC. I was asked to shoot the celebrities with Rebecca as she shows them around etc. I knew that Zosia would be there, and that they have been friends for many years now. I always wondered how their story started, and how their friendship became authentic. Meaning, more then a designer sending a celebrity clothes just because of their status.
--As you will quickly read, our conversation turns from "professional" to me feeling like I am hanging out with her in Bushwick....
Me: Hey Zosia! Just wanted to say first I love your outfit.
Zosia: Awh, Thank you so much!
Me: It's my pleasure! (Introduce myself as a Freelance Photographer etc. Also that I photographed the RM event she was at to lead into my question.
Me: I was wondering how you two met originally?
Zosia: So, Yea, Oh love your tattoos by the way..
Me: Ah, Thank you! I noticed you love hand tattoos!
Zosia: ..this one is awesome!..(points to my "Don't Shy Away" tattoo)
Me: That's actually my handwriting! It's by a stick and poke artist called Tealeigh! She lives in Brooklyn!
Zosia: DUDE! That's awesome! (Then she goes to the opposite arm where the other Tealeigh tattoo is..) These are beautiful! So awesome..
-Then to actual question-
Zosia: So, I did this thing for Glamour magazine called "These Girls." It's basically about women be women. Around the second year of it, Becky asked to dress everyone for the project. I met her randomly that way, and we just became like really good friends.
Me: Well, you look really great in her clothes!
Zosia: Oh my, Thank you!! She is amazing, I don't know how she does it honestly! I mean this woman has two kids..but looks like she never has had kids! Also designs all these amazing things for her brand!
Me: Oh my, I actually told her at the press preview (as she just said she wasn't fully back to her normal weight after the baby...) that she doesn't even look like she had kids! Also that I wish I was in her pant size...I think she liked that haha!
Zosia: No, like, she is seriously amazing, I love her.
(Her manager was trying to push her along...I noticed and followed with..)
Me: Congratulations again on your new film, and thank you for taking the time to talk!
Zosia: AH! Thank you so much! It was so nice meeting you!
->After that I wanted to be best friends with her. Another example that celebrities are just as human as the rest of us. I hope I stood out by asking something she wasn't being asked by each interviewer before or after me. As for her film "Bleeding Heart," it was freaking phenomenal. She is the complete OPPOSITE of her character Shoshanna in GIRLS. This indie drama will have you speechless, and so will her acting!
Hope you all enjoyed, as well thank you again to Lincoln Motor Company for letting me enjoy the luxury of the Black Label cars in accompany with the Tribeca Film Festival.
Tribeca Film Festival x Lincoln Motor Company
So glad I can share my experience at the Tribeca Film Festival with you all! Thanks to Lincoln Motor Company and their new MKZ Black Label car, I was able to have a smooth/luxury experience getting to each film.
Have to throw it back for a second....
When I think of Lincoln cars I think of my grandma! I remember her car being just as smooth and timeless as they are now. Something about when you get in all the outside noise would disappear. Not to mention the killer hidden car phone in the console....come on you all remember those days! Needless to say I always felt safe, and excited when my grandma had to pick me up from school instead of my parents.
Moving forward.....
Riding in the Black Label car, I was nothing less then impressed with the top notch craftsmanship. A craftsmanship that carries the same safe and luxurious feeling I felt when I was a little girl. There are obvious improvements since then. For example, a car phone is now a GPS, and this car provides seats that can massage you on your way to a film festival...enough said......
Also a big thing that stood out to me was the design. The seats are outlined with just a simple touch of red. The design is sharp and the seats are pretty freaking comfortable too. Also a sun roof was literally out of this world. You don't even need a convertible with this sun roof! The car obviously doesn't look like my grandmas, but it still stays true to Lincolns aesthetic through and through. So glad I had the opportunity to enjoy their services during the film festival.
---Movie titles/reviews below--
I was able to enjoy two AMAZING films thanks to Lincoln Motor Company. I am not just saying this by the way. Before this year I had not experienced the film festival, and boy do I regret it. There is something about being in a small theatre and watching a film that is being shown for the first time. On top of that, watching two films that were completely different from one another! Films and descriptions of both are below from TFF website.
Bleeding Heart - Reserved yoga instructor May's (Jessica Biel) peaceful, clean-living life is thrown out of balance by the arrival of her long-lost sister Shiva (Zosia Mamet), a street-smart yet naive young woman trapped in an abusive relationship. May feels compelled to rescue the hapless Shiva, but she finds herself increasingly drawn out of her sedate world and deeper into Shiva's chaotic one. With Edi Gathegi, Joe Anderson, Kate Burton, and Harry Hamlin.
Man Up - When perpetually single Nancy (Lake Bell) is mistaken for a charming stranger’s (Simon Pegg) blind-date, she just goes with it, leading to a series of escalating adventures for the two mismatched lovebirds in Ben Palmer’s hilarious romantic comedy.
- I was actually able to chat with Zosia from GIRLS (seen above.) She was the coolest chic, and I felt like I have known her for years! More on that and the films tomorrow! Just want to thank Lincoln again for such a lovely experience.

Nook
Hey guys! I wanted to share with you all my collaboration with NOOK by Barnes & Noble. I was asked to show how I use the NOOK during my day to day activities. I was really impressed with how small and compact it was! Also a huge thing I noticed was the clarity the NOOK offered. There are so many tablets out there nowadays, but NOOK to me is different. It's very lightweight, and you will forget you even brought it with you! Below are all the ways I incorporated it into my routine!
In the morning I am usually finishing up projects due that day, and getting inspiration for what I would like to shoot in the future. So basically, the morning ends up being a "Pinterest pinning" morning...haha
The NOOK has an app store just like the iPads. I downloaded Instagram and Pinterest right away, and the clarity on the apps were great!
I have made working out and being healthy a lifestyle, and do it all from home. I have found the perfect program "XHIT" on youtube last July, and still haven't tired from these girls! I do it all from my NOOK, while I have my favorite show (Gilmore Girls) streaming on Netflix through my computer.
SIDE NOTE: Can we talk about how my messy bun looks?! It NEVER usually looks cute when I throw my hair up like that, like you see all these girls do in a second. I am sure it won't happen intentionally again, so I am taking in a good messy bun moment! haha
NOOK --> ON THE GO
Usually I am out and about a lot when I am not editing at home. Getting out of the editing black hole is a must when you are looking at the same images all day. Another big part of my world is EMAILS. Which I will be the first to admit is not my strong suit. Meaning replying right away. I am usually back and forth with editing/shooting then emails are last. I am trying to get better guys I promise!
The NOOK makes it so easy to grab a cup of coffee and view/respond to emails on the go. It's so lightweight, and way better then lugging my laptop around. So basically, a perfect alternative between a laptop and cellphone.
Ok, here it is....I am not just saying this to say it...
Next time you are in Barnes and Noble, you MUST look the NOOK over. Coming from a person whom thinks "Oh wow...another tablet to throw into the mix..." I really think the quality you get for the price is pretty awesome. #lifeofnook
